Welcome to my blog!
My name is Kiana and I’m a twenty-something-year-old California native currently living in the Bay Area and working in the Silicon Valley.
I graduated from Stanford University where I majored in psychology (with a focus on social psychology) and I’m currently working in recruiting for a tech company.
I’m hoping to use this space as a place to share the many things that interest me (and my interests are definitely wide-ranging). From natural hair, beauty, and fashion to food and my everyday adventures, I want to share it all and hopefully make some great connections with others along the way.
I’m all about finding ways to make things in my life more efficient. My goal is to provide helpful tips with you all through sharing my personal experiences and things that have worked for me. I hope that my blog can be a place where you feel like you can share tips and experiences with others.
I thought a great way to introduce myself would be to use one of the “About Me” tags. I hope you’re able to learn a little bit about me (I’d love to learn more about you as well) and come back often to check out my blog posts!
1) Do you always smile for pictures?
I always have to smile for pictures because I think I look really weird when I try to do any other faces. For some reason I just don’t think I’m able to pull anything else off…and I love my smile =) But I like to attempt to switch it up every once in a while. You can see lots of my smile on my Instagram.
2) What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have two major ones. I can’t deal when people make noises when they’re eating, like smacking when they chew or slurping or crunching too loud. For some reason, it just irks every nerve in my body. I also don’t like when people are inconsiderate/rude and unable to try and see things from the perspective of others.
3) Do you ever dance if there’s no music playing?
Absolutely! I love music and almost always have a song in my head so if I’m really into it I’ll start moving to the song in my head.
4) What’s your least favorite movie?
I’ll just go with a general category of movies that I don’t like. I’m not a fan of scary movies. Like, I don’t do scary…at all.
5) What is your favorite food?
This is really hard because I like so many different types of food. Although it’s not really food, I really LOVE ice cream. I can never get enough. Eating ice cream just makes me so happy.
6) What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
There are a few movies that I have watched over and over again and still love so those would be Mean Girls, Bring It On (the first one, although I have seen all 5), Drumline, and Spirited Away.
7) Are you lazy?
I wouldn’t say “lazy”…I’d say I’m a big fan of sitting back and relaxing. Being as comfortable as possible and doing things in a way to maintain that level of comfort…so yeah, I can be pretty lazy lol
8) How many languages can you speak?
Just 1, which would be English. Although I took some Spanish in high school and college and I’m using Duolingo to step up my skills
9) Are you afraid of heights?
Yep, one of my biggest fears. That and falling. I don’t do heights.
10) Occupations you wanted to be when you were a kid?
Dream interpreter, handwriting analyzer, hotel chain owner, professional taste tester/food columnist, forensic psychologist

15) How old will you be turning on your next birthday?
16) Do you wear contacts or glasses?
Do I own glasses? Yes. Do you I wear them as often as I should? Not at all. I can get by through my day to day without wearing glasses, though.
17) Do you have a favorite drink?
I’ll give you three: Chai Tea Latte, Shirley Temple, and Tequila Sunrise
18) What are some of your favorite TV shows?
I’m actually a bit of a TV
addict enthusiast so I enjoy watching a lot of different shows at once. I especially like getting TV show suggestions from people and then binge-watching the series from the beginning on a streaming service like Netflix. I seriously have a little bit of an addiction. I’m tracking like 50+ shows (literally), some of which have actually concluded.
19) How tall are you?
5’5″ and proud of it!
20) Righty or lefty?
Lefty! I love being left-handed and actually know a whole bunch of lefty facts
