A style trend I have been loving lately is dressing down a cute knit dress. You can achieve both style and comfort by taking a relaxed approach to rocking a knit dress. The great news is that I’m sharing how in this blog post!
Beauty Is Pain
My mom would always tell me growing up that “beauty is pain”. That’s definitely something that’s still top of mind for me to this day. Who else has gone out at night in a cute dress but no coat because it didn’t go with your outfit…even though it was freezing outside? Or how about struggling in heels because they’re so cute…even though your feet are calling out in pain? I know I can’t be the only one.
So, whenever I get a chance to be both comfortable and stylish, I jump at the opportunity! This is one of the reasons why I love rocking this relaxed style look.
Knit Dress Relaxed Style
To achieve this style, I took a knit dress and paired it with sneakers and a denim jacket. I love this dress because it’s form fitting with a leather trim so you could dress it down or dress it up, depending on how you feel. And the material feels really comfortable.

I’ve been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for several years now and one place I’ve been wanting to check out forever is Clarion Alley. Clarion Alley is an alleyway in San Francisco filled with graffiti art.
The art in Clarion Alley is a part of the Clarion Alley Mural Project (CAMP), which was established in 1992 “to support and produce socially engaged and aesthetically diverse public art as a grassroots community-based, artist-run organization based in San Francisco.”
I was so excited to finally get a chance to stroll down Clarion Alley and look at the amazing artwork.
Have you ever sacrificed comfort for beauty and style? How do you like to rock a knit dress?
