I love Southern California aka SoCal!
I’m currently living in the Bay Area…and there are plenty of things I love about being here…
…but I grew up in SoCal and whenever I go back to visit it just feels like home. Maybe because it’s sunnier there no matter what time of the year, but something about the vibe just makes me really happy.
For those of you who aren’t as familiar, Northern and Southern California definitely have different vibes, even though it’s all one state.
I visited Los Angeles a little while ago for a wedding and my trip was filled with lots of eating brunch with amazing people. Brunch is probably my favorite meal of the day. You’re able to sleep in and then go out and pig out on hearty and delicious breakfast foods.
While I was in L.A. the girls and I stopped by A-Frame, a trendy Hawaiian-inspired eatery, for brunch.
I really liked the graphic designs that decorated the building.
Love the yellow door and graphic art!
Street view of the restaurant definitely caught my eye. Nom nom nom!
This outside seating area though!
The inside of the building looked just as cool as the outside view! Definitely gave me beachy island vibes.
After I was done admiring the decor it was time to order. At this point my mouth was watering so I was really excited to check out the menu and start grubbin’.
No brunch is complete without bottomless mimosas so of course I had to get that started. Gotta get those glasses flowing!
I ended up ordering the All You Can Eat Pancakes. There were several different pancake options and I loved that I was able to mix and match each of my order of pancakes. They had Buttermilk, LiliKoi Butter, Banana Mac Nut, P.O.G. (Pineapple, Orange, Guava), and Buttermilk Chicken. I started off with the Buttermilk Chicken and it was DELICIOUS!
Doesn’t just looking at this make your mouth water? I need to take another trip to L.A.
For my second round I went with the LiliKoi Butter pancakes. I really liked the butter topping on this, it had a little bit of a tang to it. I’m really greedy and wanted to make sure I got all my money’s worth so I went for a third round and opted for another Buttermilk Chicken. At that point I was about ready to pass out in a food coma so I had to call it quits.
Looks divine! And the flowers are such a cute touch.
After I was done trying to recover from all of the food I ate I decided it was the perfect time for OOTD posts around the restaurant. It probably would have been better to do that before I decided to stuff my face but…when I get
hangry hungry food is the only thing I can focus on.
