I’ve already mentioned how much I love the off the shoulder trend. I’ve been rocking a lot of off the shoulder dresses and shirts. I’m sharing three reasons off the shoulder dresses are perfect for the summer months.
I’m heading to Vegas this weekend and I’m so excited! I’ll be there to attend a conference but I’m hoping I’ll get some time to explore the town with my fiancé. The weather will be ridiculously hot (over 100 degrees!!), so I’m trying to wear any clothing that will help me beat the heat.
That brings me to the first reason for why you should also be wearing off the shoulder dresses this summer.
Reason #1 – They’re Comfortable
The first reason is that they can be very comfortable. They can be flowy which makes them more comfortable to wear. This is perfect for those summer months when the weather is warmer. Also, since you have nothing on your shoulders you can catch more of the summer breeze! It’s also an excuse to get a nice even tan without awkward tan lines if you’ll be out in the sun.
Reason #2 – They’re Flattering
The second reason is that they are flattering. These dresses can flatter a range of body types because there are many ways to adapt this style. They can come in either a loose flowy style, cleavage bearing, long-sleeved, or even curve hugging. So, you can choose what physical feature you’d like to highlight, in addition to those shoulders of course.
Reason #3 – They’re Stylish
The third reason is that they’re stylish. According to Google Trends, off the shoulder dresses have been on an upward trend in search results over the past 4 months. They were seen all over the catwalks last fall and now I feel like I ‘ve been seeing them everywhere this summer.
Styling Off The Shoulder Dresses
I went for a flowy, floral dress when rocking this trend. I also paired the dress with wedges. Overall, this was a very comfortable yet stylish look. I really love the pattern of the dress!
